Ruaridh used the revamped chair design by Carl Hansen as inspiration for the shape of the shezlong product he was going to design. From research we had done with out parents he had discovered that the 70s were a chilled out era and he wanted to include this within the HABlab installation. He also used products from the Re-Use/Re-Cycle centre to create his design.
This is the completed Shezlong designed by Ruaridh. The white lines were inspired by Pink Floyd’s CD cover and again it added another music element to the design, tying it all together.
These both added a sense of colour to the design, and we contrasted that by using white instead of colour.
